2011 Ethics Assessment

Please select one of the following statements/questions and write a 1000 word statement providing your considered opinion. If you choose to reflect on sources supplied as course readings, please use the Harvard referencing format.

1. What is the signifigance of ethics to my future career (ie in business)?
2. When considering your own country, identify the key areas of concern vis-a-vis business ethics and summarize what might be done to improve things?
3. Does moral epiphany require personal reform in behavior that carries ethical implications (ie should the individual behave differently in future actions because of an experience)?
4. Is it the case that the law drives the behavior of corporations, with reference to behavior that has moral implications?
5. Is being profitable and being ethical a mutually exclusive exercise? (OR, Does the imperative of continued corporate growth deliver moral hazard?)
6. What is the role of leadership in promoting corporate social responsibility/business ethics?
